Chorus is an elementary music program designed to display 5th and/or 6th graders' unique talents as performers. They learn songs from a variety of styles and sometimes different languages to perform them for an audience of parents and fellow students. There are at least two concerts per year-one in December and one in the Spring. The participants have to concentrate on proper posture, vocal tone and maintain the courage to sing in front of an audience.

Ms. Marxer has two degrees in Music Education and has been a Vocal/General Music teacher in LAUSD for 27 years. This is Ms. Marxer's 5th year at Knox Elementary, giving her a chance to really build on the program and students' skills.
